Dear Alumni and Friends,
Mid-February at I-House has seen the beginning of a very welcome return to a fuller schedule of resident events, including the celebration of Black History Month, the Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day (including “Rose-Gram” messaging and cookie decorating), an I-House Campus walking tour, Music Room orientations, and Book Club weekly sessions, to name a few!
We're fortunate recently to have seen what we hope will be a plateau and continued lessening of the Omicron surge. We appreciate what residents and staff have done to protect themselves and the community by adhering to our masking, social distancing, and safety guidelines. In this issue of the I-House Connection, please check out the video released earlier this month with residents sharing Why Masks Matter. As of this week, following local, state, and national guidance, I-House is now cautiously beginning to loosen mask restrictions while we support, encourage, and strongly recommend that all residents continue to wear their masks.
In this issue of the I-House Connection, I am also pleased to reintroduce alumna Margie Ryan (IH 1992-93) who has recently returned as our Alumni Engagement Manager. This issue also includes the second half of our Staff Spotlight video with Chef Abbie Serbins, and an invitation to mark your calendars for Big Give on March 9th and 10th.
Sincerely,
Shaun R. Carver
