Naming Opportunities

There are many ways to leave your lasting impression at International House while supporting our ongoing mission to foster intercultural respect and understanding, lifelong friendships, and leadership skills for a more just and peaceful world.

Named Scholarships

I-House impacts the world by producing global citizens equipped with stellar leadership skills and intercultural expertise.  Fulfilling our mission includes providing financial aid scholarships to deserving students from diverse national and socioeconomic backgrounds who otherwise would be unable to afford room and board and would miss out on the I-House experience.

Engraved plaques will be placed on a patio bench outside of Edmonds' Café, in the Heller courtyard in the center of I-House, on the Jewell patio in the back garden, or on a table of your choice in the David Fleishhacker Library or the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Dining Commons. Each dedicated bench or table will be a visible part of the House for years to come.

Dedicate a Room

Name your room with a dedication on a plaque mounted outside the resident room doorway. Room dedications permanently link the legacy of a donor to one of our 465 resident rooms.

Wolf and Arlene Homburger

The late Wolf and Arlene Homburger, one of over one thousand couples who met at I-House and later married, shared their lives for fifty years and a love of family, the arts, and the mission of I-House.

Arlene and Wolf Homburger

Their generous philanthropic support made important safety upgrades possible throughout the I-House building. In recognition, the House is honored to have dedicated the Arlene Levinson Homburger Terrace and room 760, Wolf's former room.
