Today is Giving Tuesday, one of the biggest giving days of the year. Will you make a gift of support to help International House keep its doors open wide?
For inspiration, I’d like to share with you a note from one of the many students who made International House their home earlier this fall.
“I am writing this letter sitting in my room at International House, feeling grateful for the last five days. I have already met people from Bangladesh, China, India, Germany, Pakistan, the USA, and Norway. It has only been five days, five dinners, and four breakfasts, and I already feel like I’m at home, chatting with my new friends and with I-House staff.
Thank you, International House and I-House donors, for supporting my stay here with a scholarship. I believe one day, I will pay this back – if not by funding a scholarship, then with my actions, making the world a little bit better place.”

Each year, with the support of our global community, I-House is able to provide approximately $1 million in scholarships and financial aid to students like Maria, making their I-House experiences possible. It’s remarkable to me that even after just a few days in the House, our mission rings strong among residents. They want to give back and they want to make the world a better place.
Your gifts help I-House to open the doors to students from around the world–and from a variety of economic circumstances–providing the opportunity to live and learn together in a community of mutual respect, understanding, and international friendship.
On this global day of giving, please help us to continue to welcome the world by making a generous gift now. And, if you’ve recently sent a gift our way, thank you for your generosity!
Sincerely,
